He Came We saw

The Lord wants us to overflow with what we’ve received.

Truth and Grace are the ingredients of His plan.

Truth sets free while Grace causes growth.

We need to receive then give away from our overflow.

The Key is obedience.

So What are we full of, because when we’re pressed or knocked, we will spill what’s in us!

So fill us Lord, till we overflow with your Love.

Jacob’s Meals

Have you ever being hungry to the point that you’ll give up everything for a meal.

Jacob was a liar, a deceiver and manipulator, but he was also determined to prize what was given to him.

His father though blind was still able to discern the circumstances.

In reality he prepared two meals for two desperate people.

One desperate for a meal, the other wanting to leave his legacy.

His father understood sacrifice and blessing through obedience, but he was crafty and determined.

The Lord honoured the transaction but it would come at a cost.

New Wine Old Wineskin

We can be renewed.

We carry a treasure in jars of clay.

Our leaks and cracks don’t disqualify us.

Therefore our confidence is in Him that gives us life,

not in the life we once lived.

It must be love

Love must be sincere.

Love is sacrificial and giving of oneself.

The Father demonstrated His love first. We merely love by response to His love.

The more we respond, the more He loves us.

We become the demonstration of Our Father’s love, when we start loving.

Love covers sin without without endorsing it, nor embracing the consequences of it.

The Good the Bad the Ugly

God is Good, there is no darkness in Him.

He has sown good seed into the world.

His enemy sows bad seed in the same place.

Now is not the time for separation, but for unity.

We are not called to judge, but to be and love.

The church is not perfect but it is His family.

God’s house is a safe haven for the whosoever.

Resurrection Sunday

There were many symbols reflected upon this weekend.

Craig starts with a brief explanation of the egg of pass-over meal.

In order to take hold of the new, we need to let go of the old.

The principal of leaving and cleaving.

He then moves on to the way our brokenness and pain cloud our vision.

When everybody else can see what’s in front of us.

He looks at the pain of the disciples which informs their doubt and fear.

Then how a revelation of the risen Lord changes our view and belief.

The crowded House

This Palm Sunday we’re focused on crowd mentality.

How we can get swept up in following popular opinion.

We looked at the context of crowning kings and our expectation of these events.

Jesus engaged and planned His entry by being intentional towards prophecy and scripture.

He embraced death and teaches us to hear His voice and stand out of the crowd.

Why Pray 2

Less Art More Heart

Don’t be a hypocrite.

Guard your heart.

Don’t do meaningless repetition.

Find your safe Space.

Remember that He knows.

Know the name and believe.

Why Pray – the art of conversation

When we pray we identify with our humanity.

We accept our limitations and recognize His deity.

We can pray in different ways but conversations require both talking and listening.

We look at how Jesus prayed in the garden.

How the God-man identified with his human limitations and surrendered to the Father’s will.

We face our fear and exchange it for confidence in the Lord.

is this forgiveness

Forgiveness is not just saying I forgive you.

It’s more than letting go.

It’s knowing the offence or debt and addressing it.

Then it requires a decision followed by a communication of intent,

that all rights to you legal claim is forgone and relinquished.

It is both an event and a process.
