John Wimber: I’m A Fool For Christ, Who’s Fool are you?

This is John Wimber’s personal testimony. Before his conversion in the early 1960’s, John enjoyed a successful career in music playing with the Righteous Brothers. In this humorous account, John tells how God drew him from the ranks of pagan-America into Christianity. He describes his first encounter with the Bible (a book about Jewish people), his perplexity over why there were no ashtrays the first time he went to church. John saw Church through the eyes of a raw unbeliever and challenged the religiousness of its leaders after his conversion. After reading the gospels he then came to Church asking ‘When do we get to do the stuff?’, ‘What stuff?’, ‘You know, the stuff in this Book – healing the sick, driving out devils, feeding the poor, helping the broken-hearted, raising the dead and all that.’ – Read more about John Wimber below and watch his account and his revelation of the Kingdom of God in the video to the left.
